How BidBridge Texas Is Different

Built for business owners, not bid departments. Bid boards, lead databases and project-management tools are made for contractors and estimators. BidBridge Texas connects the owner of a private commercial project directly with verified contractors.

  • Free for business owners
  • Max 3 bids per project
  • Contractors pay only when they win

Questions

Comparing Platforms?

Straight answers to what owners and contractors ask most.

Is BidBridge a PlanHub alternative?

They do different jobs. PlanHub is built for general contractors to send bid invitations to subcontractors. BidBridge Texas is built for business owners: they post private commercial projects ($10K+) in Texas for free and hear from up to 3 verified, licensed and insured contractors. Many contractors use both — PlanHub for GC invitations, BidBridge for work posted directly by owners.

How is BidBridge different from Thumbtack?

Thumbtack is a marketplace mostly for residential and homeowner jobs, and pros pay per lead whether or not they win. BidBridge Texas is commercial-only ($10K+ projects in Texas), owners see a maximum of 3 bids, and contractors pay nothing until they win — then a success fee of 2% of the contract (minimum $150, less on larger jobs).

Do I need Procore to use BidBridge?

No. Procore is project-management software that contractors use to run projects they have already won — it does not find contractors for owners. BidBridge Texas helps owners find and choose a verified commercial contractor. Once you hire, the contractor can manage the job with whatever tools they prefer.

How is BidBridge different from ConstructConnect and CivCast?

ConstructConnect is a national project-lead database for estimators, sold by monthly or annual subscription. CivCast is used by public agencies such as cities and counties to run public bids, and it is free for bidders. BidBridge Texas focuses on private commercial work: business owners in Texas posting their own projects directly.

Can I use BidBridge alongside other bid platforms?

Yes. BidBridge Texas is free to join and contractors only pay a success fee when they win, so there is no subscription to overlap with the tools you already use. Owners can post a project free and still get bids any other way they like.

Two ways in

Have a Project? Or Want the Work?

Business owners post free and see up to 3 verified bids. Contractors join free and pay only when they win.
